I WAS WALKING AROUND
I was
walking around on this planet Earth,
I was
planning the following years.
lt was
long before dawning and long before birth,
it was long
before laughter and tears.
And the
sky was so high, and the sun was so good,
and the moon
was a toy in my hand.
I built what
I could, and I soon understood
that this was a wonderful land.
that this was a wonderful land.
I made
waters and mountains and flowers and trees,
- I can't
name all the things I have done -
I made
elephants, eagles and dolphins and bees
- and
then I was setting the sun;
I sat in
the sunset alone on a stone,
and I thought: “I have done what I can.”
and I thought: “I have done what I can.”
But there
was something wrong ... I felt kind of alone...
...and so
I created a man!
I lifted him
up from the sand and the mud,
and I made him to look just like me;
and I made him to look just like me;
he was bones
of my bones and blood of my blood,
and I gave him a soul that was free.
and I gave him a soul that was free.
And I made
him a Woman to live by his side,
and the
days were all happy and gay.
Then they
suddenly changed, they started to hide
and left me and went their own way.
and left me and went their own way.
Since
then I' ve been waiting for them to come back.
They are searching for me - that I know;
They are searching for me - that I know;
they are looking
for me, they can see every track
I am
leaving in sand or in snow.
They are
shouting my name, they are begging for peace,
they are calling me Devil or God.
they are calling me Devil or God.
- I give
them my answer: the wind in the trees,
and
rivers, dark, chilly and broad.
They' ve
got blood on their hands,
they' ve got blood on their nails
They have made all my paradise burn.
they' ve got blood on their nails
They have made all my paradise burn.
They have
killed all their brothers
with wings and with tails
with wings and with tails
and I will not let them return
until
they all know all the things they have done;
they have taken - for that they must pay .
they have taken - for that they must pay .
When they
come I will count them like sheep, one by one
- and
then put them back in the clay.
